Toppr is India’s best learning app that provides personalized learning for students studying in 5th to 12th grades. Based out of Mumbai, Toppr currently caters to 29L+ registered students who are taking advantage of its deep-structured content and powerful adaptive algorithms. Toppr’s personalized learning solution enables students to study comprehensively and excel in their boards, Olympiads and various engineering and medical competitive exams. The learning app coverage includes CBSE, ICSE, State Boards along with JEE, NEET and other competitive exams. Apart from science stream, it also caters to commerce and its competitive examination. Toppr was founded in 2013 and is backed by Saif Partners, Helion Ventures and Fidelity Growth Partners (Eight Road Ventures). Toppr is a young and fast growing organization and is on the way to become one of the few sustainable start-ups in the Indian ecosystem.


As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for proactively reaching out to candidates through various innovative sourcing methods, creative campaigns, onsite events, and other networking platforms and telling our story. Speed is key in this role, but most important is driving world-class candidate experience through our process. Our recruiters are respected business partners, and being able to influence and function as an expert advisor in this role is critical.

  • Determine current recruitment needs and develop talent acquisition strategies to match the great talent with the company
  • Collaborate and coordinate with different team functions to plan and meet the hiring requirements
  • Identify all effective channels of recruitment for various positions
  • Proactively reach out to best institutions / organisations, build relationships and set up the recruitment opportunities
  • Function as a talent advisor, and expert in finding and assessing great talent
  • Build strong & strategic pipelines of talent for all open positions
  • Design an effective hiring process & ensuring seamless communication within team and candidate
  • Filter candidates based on resume screening and initial interview rounds
  • Do effective reference and background check
  • Timely rolling out of offer letter and all related communication before joining
  • Onboarding and HR induction of the new joinee
  • Assist in employee retention and development


  • Minimum 1-2 years of recruiting experience in either agency or in-house recruitment
  • Independent, adventurous and keen to be part of the startup success story
  • Proficient in the use of social media and all job boards
  • Excellent spoken and communication
  • Strategic thinker
  • Experience in hiring for educational institution / organisation would be advantageous
